KIRA NEARY,

Soprano Kira Neary is an avid opera performer and recitalist. In past seasons she has performed the roles of Donna Elvira and Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Micaëla in Carmen, Mimì in La bohème, and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, and covered Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte. She has worked with companies including Sarasota Opera, Off-Brand Opera, Lighthouse Opera, and Washington Opera Society. Recent engagements include singing Frou Frou in The Merry Widow and covering Mrs. Gleaton in Susannah as an Apprentice Artist with Sarasota Opera, and covering both Constance and The Skeptic in Constance: A Confession with Experiments in Opera. In the coming season she will return to Sarasota Opera as a Studio Artist singing TheSandman in Hansel and Gretel and Jano in Jenůfa, and covering the title role in Jenůfa. She also appears frequently as a member of the Schola Cantorum of St. Vincent Ferrer Roman Catholic Church, singing soprano solos in pieces such as Poulenc’s Messe in GMajor and Schubert’s Magnificat in C Major.
